A league mainstay and an upstart making its way back up to the top of the standings for the first time in a number of years highlighted the 2017 Genesee Region League baseball season. For the fourth year in a row, Lyndonville captured the Genesee Region League Division II crown, this year with a 9-2 league mark and a 14-2 record overall. The Tigers — who edged Notre Dame (8-3, 12-4) in the division standings — went on to win the Section V Class D1 championship. Meanwhile, in Division I it was Attica finding its way back to the top after a number of disappointing seasons as they took the crown with a 9-3 league record to go with a 13-4 overall campaign.
